Below you will find a list of the most common questions asked by people regarding synthetic grass:

1. Drainage Problems?

A common misconception is that the new synthetic grass is similar to the household carpet. In fact this intricate system involves properly constructing a porous sub base, and using turf with holes in the back, then the product is filled with sand/rubber granule mix which we call infill.

The infill holds and absorbs water which eventually drains through the holes to the sub base system. Some water will run off the top under heavy rains just the same as natural grass. Correctly installed synthetic grass will drain quicker than natural grass.

2. Flammability?

As long as the grass is properly in filled the sand and rubber infill will prevent a fire from spreading and it actually will extinguish a fire. All our products are designed to meet the most stringent requirements of fire tests. In fact synthetic grass is less susceptibly to flammability than a dead natural grass.

3. Fading?

The product has a 8-10 year UV warranty but you will get many more years of enjoyment than that. You can expect the product to last at least 15 to 20 years in a domestic situation. We have estimated the product will fade two pantones tm every ten years. This is almost unnoticeable to the human eye.

4. Mould?

Present day synthetic turf systems have been designed to eliminate mould as a problem. In fact natural grass will support the growth of mould to a much greater degree.

5. Pets?

Pet faeces can be removed with a shovel, and urine washes through the system. It’s no different than natural grass.
